While Evergreen Terrace has been around since 1999, I was only introduced to their music a few years ago.  The band is best described as a melodic/hardcore band.  Unlike a lot of hardcore bands who strictly stick to screaming mostly unrecognizable lyrics, Evergreen Terrace seamlessly glides from screaming to melodies and back again.

I have seen the band twice before this show.  Both times were in small, local clubs with hardly any stage and terrible lighting.  Not only was I thrilled to see the band get to play such a large event to a huge crowd, but from a photography point of view, I was excited to see them perform on a large, outdoor stage during the day.  There was no need to worry about poor lighting or other people getting in the way.
